First-time Volunteer Staff
This application is for first-time staff applying to volunteer at Camp Salvation. If you are age 16 or older (or will be 16 by the beginning of your service at camp) we would love to talk with you more about joining our summer staff.
Before you begin, please ensure that you have the following available to upload:
Statement of Health: this can be a copy of your most recent physical or wellness exam it must be within the past 24 months and signed by a healthcare provider. If one is not available, you can have a healthcare provider complete the Camp Salvation Statement of Health.
Immunization Records: If submitting immunization records, do not submit immunization record cards. Ask your provider for the form. Note that it will need to be signed by a healthcare provider or the county health authority. If submitting an exemption: please submit the approved Exemption Certificate (also required to be signed by a health care provider). Non-medical exemptions expire on June 30th each year. If a signed exemption cannot be obtained, staff (or parents if under 18) can complete the online module through CDPHE.
Prescription Medication Administration Form: available here (only required for staff under 18 who will be bringing prescribed medication, note that this will need to be signed by a health care provider)

Complete any required training or background check information. Please note, that if you are planning to volunteer as a Counselor, Nurse, or Recreation Leader, background checks often take 4 or more weeks to return. Please contact us to get this process started, even if it is before your application is submitted.
Complete the Staff Kid registration, if applicable and previously discussed.
Rules for acceptance are the same for everyone without regard to race, color, nationality, gender, religion, or disability. We do reserve the right to refuse acceptance to our staff in appropriate cases if you are unable to complete all the requirements of the job description. If you would require constant supervision to stay on task or one-to-one assistance in order to accomplish requirements of the position, you would not be qualified to serve as a staff member, per 42 U.S. Code § 12182 of the ADA laws.
